Svetlana Kasyan

Introduction

The young Russian soprano graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in 2011 and has been a member of the Bolshoi Young Singers Academy since 2009.

Svetlana made her debut at the Bolshoi Theatre as Kupava in Rimsky-Korsakov's The Snow Maiden and her role debut in the title-role in Puccini's Tosca at Yekaterinburg State Theatre.

she will make her company debuts at Teatro La Fenice, Venice singing Cio-Cio San in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia singing Musetta in La Boheme and Teatro Regio di Torino where she will sinf Elisabetta in Verdi's Don Carlo.

Svetlana recently won the first Prize in the 2011 China International Vocal Competition in 2011 and took part in the Svyatoslav Richter International Festival in Tarussa and the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Program of the Washington National Opera in April 2011.
