New Conductor SigningWe are delighted to announce the general management of Venezuelan conductor Christian Vásquez. As a protégé of the internationally known Venezuelan “Sistema”- which has already produced Gustavo Dudamel- he is establishing himself as one of the most promising developing talents from the Americas. In 2005, he began his conducting studies under the tutelage of Maestro José Antonio Abreu, who has been the greatest proponent and inspiration of his career. Soon thereafter, he was appointed as Music Director of the Aragua Juvenile Symphony Orchestra Jose Felix Ribas. His debut as a conductor with the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela took place in April 2008. One month later he earned great success giving his debut with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. At the beginning of next year he will be touring S America for three months assisting Claudio Abbado.
