Ana Ibarra
Ana Ibarra was born in Valencia, where she studied at the conservatory Joaquin Rodrigo, under the direction of Ana Luisa Chova.
Along with her studies she has also taken part in masterclasses with Renata Scotto, Elena Obratzova, Felix Lavilla and Miguel Zanetti and studied with D. Aronson, Herbert Tachezi, Wolfram Rieger, and Donald Sulzen.
She has appeared in concert and recital at the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Palau de la Musica de Barcelona, Palau de la Musica de Valencia, Auditorio de la Radio Nacional de Bucarest, Karajan Zentrum in Vienna.
She sings regularly at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and Teatro Real Madrid where past appearances have included Donna Elvira in 'Don Giovanni', Antonia in 'Les Contes d’Hoffmann', Dido in 'Dido and Aeneas', Alice in 'Falstaff', Berta in 'Babel 46', the Countess in 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and Euridice in 'Orfeo and Euridice' and Desdemona in 'Otello'. She also appeared as Alice Ford in concerts of 'Falstaff' with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Colin Davis which were recorded on the LSO Label and went on to win numerous awards including a Grammy.
Future engagements for the artist include Alice Ford in 'Falstaff' at the Theatre de la Monnaie, First Lady in 'Die Zauberflote' at the Teatro Real Madrid, Countess in 'Le nozze di Figaro' in Oviedo, Donna Elvira in 'Don Giovanni' in Jerez, Marguerite in 'Faust' with the Canadian Opera Company and concerts at the Tonhalle Zurich.
