Anna Leese

As a member of the Benjamin Britten International Opera School at the Royal College of Music Anna Leese's performances have included Female Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus and Mahler’s second symphony with Bernard Haitink. She made her debut at the 2006 BBC Proms in an all Mozart programme with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Sir Roger Norrington and sang the Vaughan Williams Sea Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall. Anna Leese is an Associate Artist of the Classical Opera Company, with whom she most recently sang Countess in Le nozze di Figaro. She made her debut with the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, as Musetta (La boheme), returning as Micaela (Carmen) and Ist Lady (Die Zauberflöte); future roles for the Royal Opera include Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Musetta. She sings her first Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) for the New Zealand Opera and will make her North American debut as Musetta for the Canadian Opera Company.
