Australian Ballet
The Australian Ballet is Australia's premier performing arts company. In July 2005, the full company visited the UK for performances of Graeme Murphy's magnificent new 'Swan Lake' at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and the London Coliseum. This was The Australian Ballet's first visit to the UK in 12 years, and demonstrated their continued world-class status.
Future plans for collaboration with Askonas Holt include a return visit to the UK in October 2008, with the iconic work 'Rites' at Sadler's Wells (also featuring Bangarra Dance Theatre) and further performances of 'Swan Lake' at The Lowry."Murphy's vision is compelling, danced with total conviction by a company we should see more often."
