Berliner Staatskapelle

The Berlin Staatskapelle, is one among a handful of orchestras in the world that are dedicated to both the opera and the concert genre. Daniel Barenboim was appointed General Music Director in 1992. Apart from an average 200 opera and ballet performances and 25 symphony concerts per year, Staatskapelle members in various formations are involved in over twenty chamber concerts that showcase the musicians´ awesome stylistic range and their abilities as soloists.
