Birmingham Contemporary Music Group
BCMG, formed from members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, is one of Europe's leading contemporary music ensembles. Askonas Holt organised BCMG's ambitious European tour in 2000 with Sir Simon Rattle which visited London, Cologne, Brussels, Amsterdam and Vienna and featured Pierre-Laurent Aimard performing Ligeti's virtuosic Piano Concerto.
