David Daniels

Through his many recitals, operas and recordings, David Daniels has established himself as one of the leading vocalists of our time. He performs regularly at major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, San Francisco Opera, the Royal Opera Covent Garden, and Glyndebourne.

His expansive recital repertoire has won admiration from audiences in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Munich’s Prinzregententheater, Barcelona’s Teatre del Liceu, the Salle Gaveau in Paris and also at the Edinburgh and Ravinia Festivals.

His unique achievement has earned him two of the music world's most significant awards: Musical America's Vocalist of the Year for 1999 and the 1997 Richard Tucker Award. He was also nominated for a 1999 Grammy Award for his first disc of Handel arias on Virgin/EMI.
