    About Askonas Holt

Detroit Symphony Orchestra

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1914 and moved into a brand new Orchestra Hall for opening night on October 23, 1919. 2003/04 season saw the completion of the renovation of Orchestra Hall, along with the grand opening of the Max M Fischer Music Center.

Askonas Holt has arranged tours for the DSO in the UK and Ireland in both 1998 and 2001. The 1998 tour was conducted by Neeme Jarvi, the DSO's Music Director, and the 2001 Tour was conducted by Finnish maestro Leif Segerstam, after Jarvi was indisposed due to illness. We look forward to further collaboration with the DSO over the coming years.
