Leonard Slatkin's appointments in Washington, London and Los Angeles reflect his position as an internationally recognised conductor of the highest stature. He has made regular appearances with virtually every major international orchestra, including the New York Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Concertgebouw Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra. His performances of opera have taken him to leading companies including the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera, and Vienna State Opera.

Highlights of the next two seasons include the Royal Philharmonic in London and on tour, DSO Berlin, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Cologne Radio, NDR Hamburg, Vienna Symphony and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, as well as the major orchestras in Milan, Rotterdam, Geneva, Prague, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Lisbon and Madrid.
