Louis Langrée

The French musician Louis Langrée has been Music Director of the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York since December 2002 and his first six festivals have been marked with extensive critical acclaim. During the 2008/9 season he conducts the Camerata Salzburg in Salzburg and Vienna, the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. During this season he also returns to the Metropolitan Opera in New York with Don Giovanni and to the Aix-en-Provence Festival for a special project with Magdalena Kozena.

Louis Langrée has worked regularly at Glyndebourne Festival Opera where he has conducted the Mozart Da Ponte Operas with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Idomeneo and Fidelio with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He has also conducted at the Grand Théâtre in Geneva, Bastille and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Staatsoper in Dresden and the Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam.
