Ludovic Morlot
The French musician Ludovic Morlot is quickly establishing a reputation as one of the leading conductors of his generation. The 2008/9 season sees him return to the New York Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony as well as making his debut with the Cleveland and Detroit Symphony Orchestras. Elsewhere, he will conduct for the first time the Dresden Staatskapelle, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Tonhalle, BBC Philharmonic and Israel Philharmonic Orchestras.
He has a strong relationship with the Boston Symphony Orchestra having conducted them in many public concerts in both Boston and Tanglewood. Other regular appearances include the Rotterdam Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony and Ensemble intercontemporain. He has collaborated with many distinguished soloists including Christian Tetzlaff, Lynn Harrell, Emanuel Ax and Jessye Norman.
