Marina Domashenko

Marina Domashenko's rich mezzo soprano voice makes her ideal for roles such as Dalila in 'Samson et Dalila', the title role in 'Carmen' and others.

She caught the attention of San Francisco Opera General Director Lotfi Mansouri when she performed Dalila in a concert of "Samson et Dalila" with the San Francisco Opera opposite Placido Domingo, and was immediately invited back to San Francisco to sing the title role in 'Carmen' in 2002.

Her career has taken her to most of the major opera houses and orchestras around the world including Covent Garden, Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, Arena di Verona, San Diego Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Washington National Opera, San Francisco Opera, Paris Opera to name a few and has collaborated with conductors such Sir Colin Davis, Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Chailly, Fabio Luisi, Myung Whun Chung and Placido Domingo.

Marina Domashenko's future engagements include the title role in 'Carmen' at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Lyric Opera of Chicago, title role in Samson et Dalila for San Diego Opera and Adalgisa in Norma in Bilbao.
