Mihoko Fujimura
Mihoko Fujimura came to international attention in her performances at the 2002 Münchener Opern Festspielen and the Bayreuther Festspiele and has since regularly appeared at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Royal Opera Covent Garden, Bayreuther Festspiele, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Aix-en-Provence Festival. Her future engagements include returns to Bayreuth, Vienna and London for Waltraute; Vienna, Munich and Paris for Kundry, as well as Madrid and Amsterdam for Brangäne. Her opera engagements include returns to the opera houses of Bayreuth (including Kundry in the new “Parsifal” in 2008), London, Vienna, Munich and Paris.
In concert she appears with the London Symphony Orchestra with both Daniel Harding and Sir Colin Davis, the Orchestre de Paris, the London Philharmonic and Philadelphia Orchestras with Christoph Eschenbach, the Montreal Symphony with Kent Nagano, the Accademia Santa Cecilia and Yuri Termikanov, the Tokyo Philharmonic and Myung-Whun Chung, both the Bayerische Rundfunk Sinfonie Orchester and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra with Mariss Jansons, and both the Münchner Philharmoniker and the Wiener Philharmoniker with Christian Thielemann.
