New Zealand Symphony Orchestra

The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra enjoys a high profile as its country's leading performance arts organisation. Under the leadship of their Music Director, James Judd - who is in fact the NZSO's first music director - the orchestra performs over 100 concerts each season at home and abroad. Since 1947 the NZSO has formed under the batons of William Walton, Yehudi Menuhin, Eduardo Mata, Andrew Litton and Igor Stravinsky.
