Norwegian National Ballet
Based in Oslo, Norwegian National Ballet has an illustrious history of working with the leading choreographers of the day, notably Glenn Tetley, Jiri Kylian, Hans van Manen and Mats Ek. The company visited London in 1999 to present Michael Corder's Romeo and Juliet at Sadler's Wells Theatre. This event, managed by Askonas Holt, proved to be one of the Theatre's most successful presentations of the season.
In 2006, Norwegian National Ballet return to the UK to present a ravishing new production of 'The Sleeping Beauty' at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. Set by Janek Schergen and designed by Sandra Woodall, the work opened to great success in Oslo in March 2006, and this will be its first performances outside Norway. "The cast was so tremendous, so beautiful... I was in Seventh Heaven." Dance Now
