Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment

Askonas Holt has a very special relationship with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the UK's top period instrument ensemble. Over the past 10 years, we have arranged tous with a great variety of orchestras, including Principal Guest Conductors Sir Simon Rattle and Ivan Fischer.

As well as numerous tours around Europe with Sir Simon Rattle, we have arranged both tours by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment to Asia and Australasia - the first to Japan, Korea and Taipei in 2003 with Viktoria Mullova, the latter with Ivan Fischer to Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur in March 2006. Future plans include extensive tours in Summer 2007 with Ian Bostridge, and in December 2007 and December 2008 with Sir Simon Rattle.
