Paul Charles Clarke

Paul Charles Clarke is in demand by the world's major opera houses and orchestras.

This season, Mr Clarke made his debut at the Opera du Rhin in Strasbourg in the title role of Benvenuto Cellini and returned to the Welsh National Opera for the title role in the French five act version of 'Don Carlos' opposite his wife soprano Nuccia Focile. Other engagements this season included a concert of opera arias and duets with Nuccia Focile with the Halle Orchestra conducted by Mark Elder and Don Jose in Carmen for the Hamburg State Opera and Florida Grand Opera.

Future engagements for Paul Charles Clarke include Pinkerton in 'Madama Butterfly' for Welsh National Opera, Gabriele Adorno in 'Simon Boccanegra' at the Frankfurt Opera and Hamburg State Opera, Steva in 'Jenufa' at English National Opera, concerts of 'Elijah' at the South Bank, Cassio in 'Otello' in concert performances with the WDR Orchestra conducted by Semyon Bychkov and Lensky in 'Eugene Onegin' with Welsh National Opera.
