Scottish Chamber Orchestra

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra is one of the UK's finest chamber ensembles with highly successful subscription series in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Their recordings are critically acclaimed, especially the Mozart da Ponte operas conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras. Their hugely successful tour to Italy in 2001, arranged by Askonas Holt, featured the pianist Maria Joao Pires performing Chopin Piano Concerto No.2 with the conductor Emmanuel Krivine.
