Vsevolod Grivnov

"One of the most beautiful and thrilling tenor voices in the world today, his top notes have the golden gleam of a Wunderlich and his voice sounds as solid as Gedda’s. With a robust technique and model enunciation of the text, his musical instincts and projection are infallible, and he plays the romantic juvenile lead completely naturally." - The Irish Times

Recent engagements include Lensky in 'Eugene Onegin' and Vakula in 'Cherevichki' at the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Grigorii/Dmitri in 'Boris Godunov' at the Monnaie in Brussels, Teatro Comunale Bologna, Opera du Rhin, Teatro Real Madrid and with the San Francisco Opera, 'Betrothal in a monastery' at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, 'The Bells' with Vladimir Jurovsky at the BBC Proms, 'The Miserly Knight' at the Tenerife Opera, and 'Mozart and Salieri' with the Real Filharmonica de Galicia and further concerts with the Orchestra Verdi Milan conducted by Vladimir Jurovsky.

Furthermore, he recently sung 'Betrothal in a monastery' at the Valencia Opera House, 'Rusalka' with the WDR conducted by Mikhail Jurovsky, Zinovi in 'Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk district' at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Rachmaninov's 'The Bells' at the Schleswig Holstein Festival.

His future engagements include 'Cherevichki' at the Royal Opera House in London, the Rossini 'Stabat Mater' with the Gulbenkian Foundation, 'Mazeppa' with Opera Ireland and 'Walpurgisnnacht' in Pamplona with the Navarra Symphony Orchestra.
