Today, managing director Hans Waege and Yannick Nézet-Seguin are signing a contract for a second three-year term.  Yannick made his debut with the Rotterdam Philharmonic in 2005 and became the orchestra’s Music Director in 2008, taking over from Valery Gergiev.  Since taking up the position, he has conducted many highly acclaimed concert projects, CD recordings and his first outstanding tours to the Far East and to North America.  Future plans of the Rotterdam Philharmonic and Yannick Nézet-Séguin include their first appearance together at the BBC Proms this August and three performances at the Théatre des Champs-Élysées as part of their recently-announced Paris residency.
