A debut for Dmytro

Dmytro Popov opens 2016 with a debut at the Bolshoi Theatre in ‘Iolanta’, conducted by Anton Grishanin and directed by Sergey Zhenovach.
Hailed for his previous performances in the role Count Vaudemont as ‘powerful and radiant’ (Klassik 2015), Dmytro awakens the blind princess in this lyrical fairy tale by Tchaikovsky.
This begins the start of a busy seven months which includes Verdi’s ‘Requiem’ with the Sao Paulo State Symphony, performances of ‘Carmen’ at the Teatro Regio Torino, ‘Tosca’ with Oper Köln, Stuttgart Staatsoper and Dresden Semperoper, and ‘La traviata’ with Wiener Staatsoper.
He will sing 2 performances of ‘Iolanta’ on the 8 and 9 January 2016. For more information, visit the Bolshoi website.
