Musicians from North Korea perform with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and conductor Myung-Whun Chung in Paris tonight
At the Salle Pleyel, Paris tonight, musicians from the Unhasu Orchestra of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) will be performing with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and its South Korean Music Director Myung-Whun Chung.
Maestro Chung has long held a vision to bring musicians from the two Koreas together; this concert is a significant step towards achieving that ambition.
This is an unprecedented event as a musical collaboration on this scale between North Korea and France has not be realised hitherto. This is also the first time many of the musicians from the Unhasu Orchestra have ever performed outside their home country.
Radio France will be broadcasting the concert live. For more information, please click here.
