Adam Plachetka makes his Metropolitan Opera debut

Adam Plachetka makes his Metropolitan Opera debut next week singing Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. The Czech bass baritone is joined by bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni who returns to the Met to sing Leporello, a role for which he received critical acclaim following his performances at the Salzburg Festival. 
Other highlights of Adam Plachetka’s 14-15 season include his returns to the Salzburg Festival to sing the title role in Le nozze di Figaro and to Wiener Staatsoper where he sings the title role in Don Giovanni
Luca Pisaroni’s 14-15 season has seen him sing Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Wiener Staatsoper and San Francisco Opera (June 2015), and the title role at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Münich and the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden (July 2015). Later this season he performs the role of Enrico VIII in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena at the Opernhaus Zürich and the Wiener Staatsoper.
