Adam Plachetka in Dvořák’s ‘Te Deum’ with the Wiener Symphoniker at Dvořák Prague Festival

Bass-baritone Adam Plachetka will join forces with the acclaimed Wiener Symphoniker for a trio of performances of Dvořák’s Te Deum in both Vienna and Prague this week. The performance at the Rudolfinum in Prague will culminate the Dvořák Prague International Music Festival which just last week saw Ailyn Pérez and Christianne Stotijn perform the Dvořák Requiem to rapturous applause.

This concert series continues a sensational season for Adam which has already seen him return to the Wiener Staatsoper as the title role in Le Nozze di Figaro alongside fellow Askonas Holt star Dorothea Röschmann. Looking ahead, Adam will make further appearances at the Wiener Staatsoper as the title role in Don Giovanni and Riccardo in I puritani, return to the Metropolitan Opera for Le Nozze di Figaro and Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte and make numerous concert and operatic appearances across the Czech Republic.

Adam will be joined by soprano Simona Šaturová and conductor Tomáš Netopil with performances at the Wiener Konzerthaus on 22 and 24 September and at the Rudolfinum in Prague on 23 September. More information here.
