On Thursday 14 July, Aida Garifullina will star in the annual Bastille Day concert under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
This huge event, attended by thousands of Parisians celebrating France’s national holiday, comes at the end of an enormously successful 2015/16 season for Aida, with highlights including numerous performances at the Wiener Staatsoper, a US tour with Andrea Bocelli, and a starring role in the film Florence Foster Jenkins, alongside Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.
Aida will be singing with the Orchestre National de France conducted by Daniele Gatti; the concert will also feature Juan Diego Florez, Ildar Abdrazakov and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, among other artists.
The event will be broadcast in France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Czech Republic, Norway, Finland and across Europe.
Aida is an exclusive recording artist for Decca Records and her first single – ‘Zdes’ Khorosho’ – was released today, with her debut album to be released worldwide in early 2017.
