This month star soprano Ailyn Pérez continues a triumphant season with a duo of prestigious concert appearances; firstly an opera gala with the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and Sascha Goetzel on Thursday, followed by Strauss’ Four Last Songs with the Prague Philharmonia and Emmanuel Villaume on 15 January. This will mark Ailyn’s debut performance of the Strauss masterpiece which she will pair with a selection of songs and arias by Korngold.
A regular feature on the world’s most esteemed concert halls, Ailyn will make a number of other high-profile concert appearances this season. Highlights include an evening of Italian, Spanish and Mexican songs, arias and duets with Maestro Plácido Domingo at the Broad Stage Los Angeles, Beethoven’s Mass in C and Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the LA Philharmonic, and Verdi’s Requiem with the Minnesota Orchestra under the baton of Edward Gardner. Alongside this, she will also return to the Metropolitan Opera for Alice Ford Falstaff and make her role debut as Donna Anna Don Giovanni with the Houston Grand Opera.
