Alexander Shelley & Bundesjugendorchester win ECHO Klassik Award

The innovative adaptation of Prokofiev’s ‘Peter and the Wolf’ performed by the Bundesjugendorchester and conducted by Alexander Shelley has been awarded the ECHO Klassik Award for Classical Music for Children. Released in November 2015 by Deutsche Grammophon, the recording is available as both an album and app, and also features in DG’s ground-breaking interactive digital storytelling project, developed with the celebrated New York production company Giants Are Small.
The awards ceremony will be televised from Berlin on 9 October at 22:00, and will feature performances from several award winners as well as the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, conducted by Diego Matheuz
