Alexandre Bloch returns to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra



Alexandre Bloch returns to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra this week, with concerts in St Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow (13, 14 and 15 April respectively).
Joined by pianist Anika Vavic, the orchestra performs a combined French and Russian programme including Stravinsky’s concerto for chamber orchestra, ‘Dumbarton Oaks’, Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No 2 and Bizet’s exuberant Symphony in C. Find out more
Recently announced as Music Director of Orchestre National de Lille from the beginning of the 2016/17 season, Alexandre is Principal Guest Conductor of Düsseldorf Symphoniker. In the remainder of this season he makes his debut with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre National de Belgique, in addition to return visits to Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and recording work with Opera de Lyon and Orchestre National de France.
