This week, Alina Ibragimova embarks on a nine-date tour with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, entitled Death and the Maiden. Alina will guest-direct a programme that includes Barber’s Adagio for Strings, Mozart’s Adagio and Fugue in C minor, Hartmann’s Concerto funebre, Arvo Pärt’s Silouan’s Song, and Schubert’s String Quartet in D minor Death and the Maiden arranged for strings.

Performances begin in Newcastle, and include five performances in Sydney, plus in Canberra and Melbourne.
Following her Australian tour, Alina will travel quickly on to Singapore, where she will perform two concerts with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra: Brahms Violin Concerto at the Esplanade Concert Hall on Friday 30 March, and a chamber music programme of Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Shostakovich on Saturday 1 April.
