Alina Ibragimova makes her Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks debut



This week, Alina Ibragimova makes her debut appearance with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, performing Schumann’s Violin Concerto in D Minor, conducted by Robin Ticciati. Also on the programme is Rebel’s Les éléments, Franck’s Psyché Suite, and Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé Suite No. 2.

Over the next two seasons, concerto engagements for Alina will include debuts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Gardiner), Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin (Jurowski), Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony and Singapore Symphony, as well as returns with the Montreal Symphony and London Symphony orchestras, Chamber Orchestra of Europe (Haitink), Swedish Radio Symphony (Harding), Seattle Symphony, Bergen Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (Jurowski).

Robin, who has just made his Wiener Philharmoniker debut, will soon release a highly anticipated recording of Brahms’ first four symphonies with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, on Linn Records. He also conducts his final concerts as Principal Conductor of the SCO in March, before heading to Glyndebourne for the summer, where he will conduct a new production of Pelléas et Melisande and a revival of Der Rosenkavalier.
