This season sees two residencies for Alina Ibragimova, both beginning in the next few weeks. The first, with projects spanning the whole season, is as Artist in Residence with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg. The second, as a featured artist at the Fundação Casa da Música in Porto.
Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg
Alina begins her residency this week performing Shostakovich Violin Concerto No.1, conducted by the orchestra’s principal conductor, Marko Letonja. Later in the season, Alina will join principal players from the orchestra for a chamber concert of Prokofiev and Shostakovich in April, give a duo recital with Cédric Tiberghien in March, and finally another concerto project; Bartók’s Second Concerto in June.
Fundação Casa da Música
As featured artist at the Fundação Casa da Música, Alina will give concerts with the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto (Shostakovich Concerto No.1) and Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música (Bach), as well as a solo recital of Bach, Biber, Berio and Bartók. The performances are part of the “À Volta do Barroco” festival.
