Eugene Onegin opens at the Deutsche Oper Berlin on 12 December 2016, with Andrei Bondarenko making his house debut in the title role and Benjamin Bernheim making his role debut as Lensky. Ivan Repusic conducts Götz Friedrich’s production.
Following Onegin performances, Benjamin will join Opera de Lausanne for performances of Laerte in Hamlet, Berlioz’s Te Deum with the Orchestre de Paris, Cassio in Otello for Opernhaus Zurich and Die Schöpfung at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin conducted by Zubin Mehta.
Andrei Bondarenko will make his house debuts at the Bolshoi Theatre as Conte Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro in January, and at Scottish Opera where he will sing Pelleas in David McVicar’s production of Pelléas and Mélisande.
Andrei and Benjamin will perform together again in Opernhaus Zurich’s revival of La bohème in April and May 2017.
