Baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky makes his house debut this week at Opera di Roma in the role of Count Almaviva in a Graham Vick production of Le Nozze di Figaro. No stranger to the role, Andrey has performed it a number of times at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow where he is a guest soloist.
Continuing a busy season, Andrey will make multiple house debuts; next with Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra for Marcello La bohème, followed by the Deutsche Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin for his house and role debut as Don Ferdinand in Betrothal in a Monastery, and later at the Metropolitan Opera. Andrey will also return to Glyndebourne in the role of Figaro Il barbiere di Siviglia in Summer 2019.
Le nozze di Figaro opens this Tuesday 30 October at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. For tickets and further information, please visit the Opera di Roma website.
