Anna Caterina is hailed as a ‘Tour de Force’ in La Voix Humaine.
Anna Caterina Antonacci triumphed in her first two nights of La Voix Humaine which premiered at the Grand Theatre de Luxembourg on 20th February.
Critics have applauded her characterisation as a mental and musical feat mentioning that Anna Caterina portrayed “…a malicious pleasure in her voice which was well balanced and resonant…” Marc Welnachter, Tageblatt. Anna Caterina received fantastic reviews from many other newspapers with one mentioning that she “…embodied the role with great psychological depth…” Trierischer Wolksfreund, 22 February 2013.
This season has already seen Anna Caterina give recitals in Annecy and London, sing the title role in Carmen at the Bastille and the Royal Danish Opera and will continue in earnest with recitals all over Europe, a return to the Wigmore Hall and a tour with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra under Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the end of the summer.
La Voix Humaine moves to the Opera Comique from 17th March, running until 29th March 2013.
