Anna Caterina Antonacci
returns to the Lincoln Center
this week to give a recital with her accompanist Donald Sulzen, at Alice Tully Hall (5 March 2015). The programme will include Poulenc’s La voix humaine
, the harrowing one-woman monodrama, portraying a woman’s final, emotional phone conversation with her lover. Also included are works by Debussy, Duparc, Ravel and Berlioz. There is a great deal of excitement surrounding Anna Caterina’s recital, with New York Times
journalist, Zachary Woolfe naming it as a vocal highlight for this spring.
Following Alice Tully Hall, Anna Caterina heads to San Antonio, Texas for two performances (12 and 15 March) of a double bill featuring Il Segreto di Susanna and La voix Humaine in the recently opened, Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
