Anna Caterina has made her long awaited return to the Big Apple giving the U.S. première of her one woman show ‘Era la notte’ at the Rose Theatre in New York last night as part of the Lincoln Centre’s ‘White Light Festival’.
Accompanied by soloists from the orchestra Les Siècles, costumes by Christian Lacroix and a staged production by Juliette Deschamps, Anna Caterina Antonacci portrays a love-crazed woman who redefines herself as she heals her own broken existence. The journey is pieced together with works from 17th-century Italy by early-Baroque masterminds such as Monteverdi, Strozzi, Giramo and Marini.
This season you can catch Anna Caterina in Covent Garden for Carmen and at La Scala for Les Troyens as well as giving numerous solo recitals around Europe.
Era la notte concludes tonight in what promises to be another spectacular performance! Brava Anna Caterina!
