Eric Lu won First Prize at The Leeds International Piano Competition in 2018 and made his BBC Proms debut the following summer. He currently a member of the BBC New Generation Artist scheme.
Forthcoming highlights include debuts with the London Symphony Orchestra (Marin Alsop), Seattle Symphony (Thomas Dausgaard), Oslo Philharmonic (Joshua Weilerstein), Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Finnish Radio Symphony (Tabita Berglund), St Petersburg Philharmonic and Tiroler Orchester Innsbruck (Kerem Hasan); alongside recitals at Wigmore Hall, Leipzig Gewandhaus and Cologne Philharmonie.
In recent seasons Eric has performed with the Detroit Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, The Hallé, Orchestre National de Lille, Shanghai Symphony, Warsaw Philharmonic, Singapore Symphony and Swedish Chamber Orchestra, working with conductors Vasily Petrenko, Edward Gardner, Sir Mark Elder, Tomáš Hanus, Alexander Bloch, Thomas Dausgaard, Martin Frӧst and Long Yu. He has appeared in recital at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, BOZAR Brussels, 92nd St Y, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Wigmore Hall, Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris, Seoul Arts Centre and Sala São Paulo.
