Askonas Holt welcomes Kirill Karabits

We are delighted to announce the world management of Ukrainian conductor, Kirill Karabits. Currently in his seventh season as Chief Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, last week saw Kirill close the Orchestra’s 15/16 season in Poole with an acclaimed performance of Mahler’s Symphony No.1. In recognition of his work with the BSO and other orchestras and opera houses within the UK, he was named Conductor of the Year at the 2013 Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards.
From the 2016/17 season, Kirill will also become General Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Deutsches Nationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar and will continue his passion for working with young musicians as Artistic Director of I, CULTURE Orchestra
Having previously conducted at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, English National Opera and at the Bolshoi Theatre, the 2016/17 season will see Kirill make his debuts at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Oper Stuttgart. Other future highlights include debuts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and a return to the Edinburgh Festival conducting the Russian National Orchestra.
