Fresh from a highly successful trio recital tour of South America, this week sees Carolin Widmann give two concerts with the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover. Play-directing both concerts, Carolin will perform works by Mendelssohn, Schumann and Jörg Widmann, in Einbeck (20 September) and Stuhr (21 September), both as part of Niedersächsische Musiktagen.
The remainder of the week will see Carolin give four duo recitals with Alexander Lonquich in Wiesloch (22 September), Schaffhausen (23 September), Göttingen (24 September) and BOZAR in Brussels (26 September). Carolin and Alexander will perform a programme of works by Schumann, Brahms, Janaček, Strauss and Jörg Widmann.
Carolin will return to the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover next month to perform Mozart’s Violin Concerto in G major under the baton of Andrew Manze. Other highlights for this season include chamber music projects in Vienna, Schweinfurt and Neumarkt as well as return to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, recitals at the Ultraschall Berlin, in Salzburg and Fribourg as well as performances with the BBC Symphony, Stockholm Philharmonic, Bayerische Rundfunk, Residentie Orkest, and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.
