China Philharmonic Orchestra makes its BBC Proms debut



The first global orchestra to touch down in London for this year’s Proms is the China Philharmonic. The orchestra makes its Proms debut playing a lively repertoire that includes Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, and Mussorgsky, the performance will also feature the UK premiere of BBC co-commission ‘Joie eternelle’ by Qigang Chen.
