This week, Christine Rice makes her role debut as Donna Elvira in English National Opera’s production of ‘Don Giovanni’. Award-winning director Richard Jones presents this new production at the Coliseum, under the baton of Mark Wigglesworth.
Christine spoke about the role on ENO’s website, saying “Donna Elvira has some of the best music in the opera (lucky me!) and is quite a driving force for the action. The conflict between her undiminished love for Don Giovanni and her morally strict, religious spirit makes her a very emotionally rich character.”

Later this season, Christine returns to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for performances of ‘Les contes d’Hoffmann’ and ‘The Exterminating Angel’.
