Award-winning stage director Deborah Warner opens a new production of La Traviata at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris on the 28 November. This new production caps an extraordinarily successful year for Deborah, whose production of Billy Budd won Best New Production at the 2018 Opera Awards, and the Diapason d’or de l’année 2018 for the DVD release of the same production. 2018 has also seen a reprisal of Deborah’s production of Fidelio at Teatro alla Scala, Milan.
Deborah directs an all-star cast of singers including Vannina Santoni as Violetta, Saimir Pirgu as Alfredo and Laurent Naouri as Giorgio Germont for the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. The production runs until 9 December.
