Dmitri Hvorostovsky wins "L’Opera" Award

L’Opera magazine award for Hvorostovsky

Many congratulations to Dmitri Hvorostovsky who has won the “Best Baritone” award from Italy’s premier opera publication, “L’Opera”.

The honour comes as recognition for his performance as Conte di Luna in the Arena di Verona’s August 2010 production of Il Trovatore. These performances, which opened the 88th annual Verona Opera Festival, also marked Dmitri’s debut at the legendary Roman amphitheatre.

Dmitri is thrilled by this recognition by the Italian music press.

Other winners at this year’s L’Opera awards include Antonio Pappano, Mariella Devia, Daniela Barcellona and Vittorio Grigolo. The full list of winners and more information appears in the July/August issue of L’Opera.
