Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s show-stopping return to the Met

Dmitri Hvorostovsky had a tremendous success returning to the Metropolitan Opera on Friday evening, reviving his portrayal of Conte di Luna next to Anna Netrebko’s first Leonora in the house. The Siberian baritone literally stopped the show when he walked on stage and was showered in white roses by the orchestra of his final curtain call.
If you missed the performance on Friday night you can still catch the show tonight (29 September) or the matinee performance this coming Saturday (3 October) which will also be broadcast in HD in cinemas worldwide.
