Domingo Hindoyan makes his debut at Wiener Staatsoper with Turandot

This Saturday, Domingo Hindoyan will make his debut at the prestigious Wiener Staaatsoper conducting Puccini’s Turandot, directed by Marco Arturo Marelli. Joining him in these performances are Askonas Holt artists Dinara Alieva, who returns to the house as Liù, and Samuel Hasselhorn as Ping, with the remainder of the cast including Anna Smiranova as Turandot and Alfred Kim as Calaf.

Turandot is the fourth title Domingo has conducted this season so far, having made his debut at Lyric Opera of Chicago with La bohème in September, followed by Aida at Royal Swedish Opera and La traviata at Royal Opera House Oman (with Plácido Domingo). Further operatic highlights of note this season and in the future include Tosca at Staatsoper Berlin with Sonya Yoncheva in the title role, in addition to Luisa Miller at Liceu Barcelona.
