Dorothea Röschmann releases her debut solo recording

Today sees the launch of Dorothea Röschmann’s debut recital CD ‘Portraits’ on the Sony Classical label. Inspired by visits to the National Portrait Gallery in London, this disc brings together one of the world’s finest German recitalists with four collections of core German Lieder by Schubert, Schumann, Strauss and Wolf. Accompanied by long-time collaborator Malcolm Martineau, the pair explore Dorothea’s fascination with character interpretation in song, focusing on female characters including Mignon and Gretchen.
