Later this week, Edward Gardner
will lead the Bergen Philharmonic
in a gargantuan production of Schönberg’s ‘Gurrelieder’ – the final concert marking their 250th Anniversary. In a recent interview
, Edward commented: “It will be my first time conducting ‘Gurrelieder’ and we’ve got loads of invited choirs, it will be really wonderful.”
Luckily, for those unable to travel to Bergen, the concert can be streamed live at the Bergen Philharmonic’s Digital Concert Hall
, a new initiative for their 250th anniversary year. The live streaming will start five minutes before the concert (19.25 GMT+1) and will be available to watch for 30 days afterwards. We can now all enjoy this wonderful event and join the celebrations of a momentous year for the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra!
Performances take place on both 10 and 11 December 2015, but only the performance on 11 December will be streamed live.
