Eleanor Dennis & Matthew Durkan star in world premiere of ‘Marnie’



This Saturday 18 November sees the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s Marnie, based on Hitchcock’s film of 1964, at the English National Opera. This follows Muhly’s huge success with his opera Two Boys which premiered at the ENO in 2011. The production is directed by Tony Award winning director Michael Mayer, making his UK opera debut, with Martyn Brabbins conducting. Harewood artists Eleanor Dennis and Matthew Durkan feature as Laura and Malcolm Fleet.

Later this season, Eleanor and Matthew return to ENO as Helena and Demetrius in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Performances of Marnie take place on 18, 26 ,28 November and 1, 3 December. More information on the ENO website.
