This week, mezzo soprano Elīna Garanča embarks on a nine date tour across Germany and Austria, with concerts in Berlin (1 Feb), Baden-Baden (3), Munich (5), Frankfurt (8), Dusseldorf (14), Vienna (17), Graz (19), Cologne (21) and Mannheim (23). Elīna is accompanied by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, conducted by Karel Mark Chichon.
Elīna will be performing songs from her latest album Revive, which was released in November 2016 on Deutsche Grammophon, with whom Elīna is an exclusive recording artist. On this album, Elīna channels her musical experience, insight and emotional empathy into a personal celebration of the indomitable nature of the feminine spirit.
This season, Elīna has already performed in a new production of La Favorite (in her staged role debut as Leonor) at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Cavalleria Rusticana at Opéra national de Paris, and has made her Mexican debut with a sold-out four concert tour. Looking ahead, Elīna returns to the Metropolitan Opera New York for Der Rosenkavalier, and performs in concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic & Gustavo Dudamel.
